The mission of the Highland Park Conservancy is to preserve Highland Park's unique heritage and to promote its vast horticultural, educational and recreational resources. We support sound planning, management and restoration, and we engage the community through educational programs, including tours and community outreach.
To this end, we plan and provide several tours each year, including a poetry tour, history tours, tree tours, and tours on other aspects of our wonderful Highland Park. We staff a booth at the Lilac Festival to entertain festival goers with information and historic photos of the Park and of the Children's Pavilion. We use our website to provide current information about the Park and about our projects.
Our special project is to rebuild the Children's Pavilion, thus restoring to the Park the structure that was designed for the Park by Frederick Law Olmsted. For details about this project, return to the home page and click on "Join our Cause".
Do join us in our work to celebrate and enhance the Park and to rebuild the Pavilion. Submit your membership form, including your email address so that we can keep you informed about the Park and events of interest, and let us know what Conservancy activities are of particular interest
