Join the Friends of Frederick Douglass, sponsors of the 126th commemoration of the June 9, 1899, unveiling of the Frederick Douglass Monument and wreath laying.
Douglass descendants and other experts will share little known facts about this first American monument dedicated to an African Amerian. Enjoy the remarks from Mayor Malik Evans, County Executive Adam Bello, other dignitaries and dynamic performances by up-am-coming Rochester youth.
