From its very beginning in 1890, Highland Park has been a place for all people in all seasons. It is uniquely Rochester, and brimming with beauty. But it’s also about something deeper.

"…it has been the purpose of the Park Commission to make the parks of Rochester not simply beautiful pictures, which would serve the people in a passive way, but to make them active agencies for social service." (Rochester Park Commission Report, 1911)

Highland Park Conservancy (HPC) exists to advance this work, which continues today. Highland Park is a special place that belongs to our community, and we are honored to be its stewards now and for generations to come.
